What do the GRI, ABR and SSCE designations mean to buyers and sellers of Real Estate?

These designations mean we are consistently learning and expanding our expertise in the industry to better serve our clients.  GRI stands for "Graduate, Realtor Institute".   GRI is a nationally recognized designation developed by the National Association of REALTORS.   REALTORS who earn this designation complete a rigorous classroom training and have an ongoing goal to "provide professional service to the public".   Training covers all aspects of the real estate business.   "The GRI designation tells clients and colleagues that the holder has completed a comprehensive program and earned the mark of professional EXCELLENCE in the field".  You may learn more about the GRI designation at www.realtor.org/gri.

After completing his GRI, Sheldon earned his ABR.   ABR stands for Accredited Buyer Representative or Representation.   Sheldon was awarded the ABR designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of REALTORS.   REBAC is the world's largest association of real estate professionals focusing on representing the real estate buyer.   The ABR designation, the benchmark of excellence in real estate buyer representation, demonstrates to clients that the agent has taken steps to continue their education in the field of buyer representation, and has proven the experience and training to deliver ethical and professional service to real estate buyers."  You may learn more about the ABR designation by opening the PDF document below and visiting the REBAC ABR site by visiting http://rebac.net/why_use_an_abr.cfm
